The Hyosung V-twin 250cc engine was designed in Hamamatsu Japan by a design team consisting of engineers who have previously worked in the R&D teams of some of the big Japanese motorcycle companies. Because this engine is the newest design among its rivals, it has many performance features that they do not have. These include roller bearing cam shafts, 2 piece spring dampened bevel silent primary drive gears, dual squelsh combustion chambers etc. These are features that were previously confined to racing engines, and in the past have been uneconomical to incorporate into smaller capacity engines for street use. Proven DOHC 4 valve per cylinder configuration, with twin downdraft Mikuni carburetors provide the highest volumetric efficiency and air coupled with an oil cooler provide reliability in the harshest conditions.

The front brake is a Heavy duty 275mm solid single disc with fully floating dual piston caliper and long life brake pads. Ample for a cruiser of larger capacity.

Wide comfort seat with queen seat for pillion passenger. Low seat height (700mm) for relaxed cruising and ease in traffic for riders who are not tall. The seat is removable with a key lock and can store tools and incorporate helmet security (depending on helmet design).

The GV250 Aquila is styled to follow timeless traditions and does not look like a copy cruiser. The many press articles about the GV250 Aquila all testify to its good looks and the fact that the GV250 Aquila attracts admirers where ever it goes.

The fuel tank capacity is ample for touring (14 litre). The GV250 Aquila's excellect highway performance means you can go touring with the big bikes without a stop to re-fuel until they do. The GV250 Aquila is so capable on the highway (approx 145kms top speed and approx 350kms fuel range) that you can go touring with the big bikes without them having to wait for you. A single key operates the ignition, seat release and steering lock, therefore the steering lock is operated simply by turning the ignition key to lock position and removing the key ( unlike cheaper cruisers that have separate keys, and require unlocking the steering in one position, then finding the ignition key to start the bike in another position).

The Alloy wheels are spun billet items of the highest quality and are fitted with wide tubeless tyres (Shinko's). Tubeless tyres are superior to tyres fitted with tubes (which is why cars are no longer fitted with tube tyres), and they reduce the impact of a puncture. A motorcycle fitted with spoked wheels will always suffer a flat tyre from a puncture, not so with tubeless. Adjustable chrome rear shocks with 5 spring load settings are fitted, and chrome dual exhausts complement the cruiser with the most chrome in its class.
